- Why does each OEE point get worth less as OEE rises?
- Because each point is a smaller share of what the line already produces: from 60% to 61% saves 1/61 of planned time, from 80% to 81% only 1/81. At 80% OEE the same point is worth CHF 11,596 in Switzerland.
- Should I use this number in a business case?
- Use it as the floor. It prices only released hours and electricity; if the line is sold out, value the extra output at your contribution margin instead, and add scrap and maintenance effects once you have measured them.
